Who are we?

River Valley Church was founded in 1958 by Bob & Louise Barnett as Glad Tidings Church. To find out a little more about our history you can watch this short video.

We are a non-denominational church but under apostolic covering as part of the Mannahouse Global Family. You can find out more about our core values by clicking here.

OUR MISSION

We’re all about helping people to know God, live free, discover their purpose and make a difference.

We love the Treasure Valley and are a local church with a global impact. We do this by sending and supporting missionaries, sending short term missions teams around the world and partnering with church planting organizations like Mannahouse Global Family and ARC to extend the Gospel in our own valley and beyond.

What we believe

Simple. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, living and active Word of God and we build our lives on that foundation. This is the driving force to how we love and serve the Treasure Valley and around the world. You can see more of what we believe, here.

the next generation

Equipping and training the next generation is huge to us. Because of this, we have a full children’s ministry on Sunday mornings with worship, a message, prayer and games. Students 6th grade through high school gather on Wednesday evenings at the church at 6pm for a time of seeking God, developing relationships and having a ton of fun!
